Dr. Lorelei Johnson was born in New Zealand, and grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She completed a BSc in Immunology at the University of Alberta, and worked for several years in cancer research, traveling as much as possible during her time off. Eventually growing tired of prairie winters, she decided to get back to the books and moved to Victoria with her husband to complete her medical training. They’ve now settled in Victoria and haven’t looked back!

While enjoying all areas of family practice, maternity and newborn care have always been a passion. She also has special interests in mental health and student mentorship. Outside of work, you’ll find her curling, cycling, hiking, practicing yoga, enjoying movies, at the beach, paddling, and spending time with family!
